A Communication team member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Tema Central Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, Richard Anning has emphatically stated that, it’s better Ghanaian children sit under trees to learn rather than to stay at home to be illiterates.

In a panel discussion on Plan B FM’s ‘Nkosuo Nsem’ show hosted by Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi on Tuesday, 26 November 2024, Richard Anning said that those criticizing the Free SHS policy don’t want Ghanaian children to enjoy the policy.

Richard Anning admitted that, there have been infrastructural deficits in the Schools but NPP government is committed to solving those challenges.

“It’s never true that we have all the infrastructure but the government is committed to solve all” he noted.

Richard added that, now in every home in the country has a product of Free SHS and when you talk of a national policy and its benefits, every Ghanaian is benefiting.
