The National Association of Institutional Suppliers (NAIS) has announced plans to stage a picketing exercise at the Ministry of Education on June 11, 2026, over delayed payments for school uniform contracts.
According to a notice circulated by the association, the demonstration will be held under the theme, “Delayed Payment of School Uniform Contracts.” The group says the action is aimed at drawing attention to the prolonged delay in settling payments owed to suppliers who executed school uniform contracts.
NAIS is urging all its members to participate in the protest, stressing the need for collective action to press home their demands. The association emphasized solidarity among its members with the slogan, “United We Stand – Every Member’s Participation Matters.”
The picketing exercise is scheduled to take place at the premises of the Ministry of Education, where suppliers are expected to demand the immediate release of outstanding payments.
The planned protest comes amid growing concerns among contractors and suppliers over delays in the settlement of government contract obligations, which many say are affecting their businesses and operations.
