Political analyst and financial engineer, Alex Emmanuel Nti, has added his voice to those calling for a forensic audit to be conducted on embattled man of God, Victor Kusi Boateng alais Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.
The political analyst made the call while responding to news of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) readying itself to look into the activities, personal details and registrations and tax obligations of 17 companies associated with the double identity of Kusi Boateng.
In an exclusive interview with Plan-B FM during the radio station’s current affairs how dubbed ‘Ebaanosen’, Mr Alex Emmanuel Nti noted that he fully support the idea of the Ghana Revenue Authority looking into the activities of the man of God especially with regard to his tax obligations as well as the issue of his identity which is said to be more than one.
According to him the forensic audit will end revealing more to it than the eye sees if indeed the man of God is involved in what he is accused of. “He should be jailed if found to guilty of the offences he is accused of and tried by a competent law court”, Mr Alex Emmanuel Nti told the host of the show, Ohene Kinnah.
Continuing, he pointed out that to be deterrent, the country must ensure that persons found to have engaged in the crimes alleged to have been committed by the embattled man of God are not made to go free regardless of the fact that they are so close to certain persons in high offices. He regretted instances where the country watched on while persons who committed such crimes walked away because they had some form of relations with some leading members of a particular government.
“Failure to punish such persons will lead to an escalation of such crimes because others would have thought that it is easy to commit such crimes and get away with it without being punished”, Mr Alex Emmanuel Nti remarked.
He took advantage of the interview to caution member of Victor Kusi Boateng’s church no to take to the streets in protest of the impending forensic audit expected to be conducted on him. He said they should allow the GRA do their work.
Concluding, he pointed out that if Victor Kusi Boateng is found not guilty, eh should be made to go and encourage his accusers to apologize to him and bow his head in shame.
