President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Mr. Herbert Krapa as the new Minister for Energy, effective November 19.

This appointment comes as Mr. Krapa takes over from Vice Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, and marks a pivotal moment for the nation, which is focused on enhancing its energy infrastructure and sustainability.

Mr. Krapa is no stranger to the energy sector; he has been serving diligently as the Minister of State at the Ministry of Energy since July 15.

Throughout this period, he has demonstrated exceptional diligence and professionalism, earning respect and admiration from colleagues and stakeholders alike. His contributions have been pivotal in driving initiatives that prioritize both progress and stability within Ghana’s energy framework.

President Akufo-Addo’s confidence in Mr. Krapa is founded on his track record of leadership and his commitment to national service. In his previous role, Krapa played an instrumental part in fostering a collaborative environment among various agencies, pushing forward projects that aim to secure reliable energy sources for all Ghanaians.
