Alice Frimpomaa, a petty trader and the wife of Mr Alexander Ahenkora, has been arrested for thievery and attempted murder; a case which was filed by her husband at the Tanoso Police Station today. Mr Alexander in arresting his wife this morning, accused the wife of stealing all his living room furniture, kitchen appliances, bedroom and living room appliances including flat-screen television sets and sound system.
Alexander, the 44-year-old man further accused the wife of plotting with his sister to kill him. They wanted to silence me and had used a kitchen knife on me. She threw the knife at me in an attempt to stab me.
My life was in danger and that was why I left the house for them. They would have killed me if I had stayed, Alexander Ahenkorah, stated to the police after arresting his wife this morning.
Alice Frimpomaa, the traditionally married wife of Alexander Ahenkorah, had denied all the accusations levelled against her and her twin sister. We went over to the house to pack my things.
I found him in bed with the same woman he told me was his secretary but I didn’t do anything to the girl and neither did I throw a knife at him. He is just a liar, cheater and a pretender, Alice said in her joint statement with her twin sister.
Both Alice Frimpomaa and her twin sister Felicia Frinpomaa, are still at the Tanoso police station. The two women are alleged to have stormed the matrimonial of Alice and Alexander and together, packed over GH¢45,000 worth of properties including; three executive beds and mattresses, two televisions sets, lining room furniture and applyances, air conditions, kitchen appliances and utensils.
The items Alice had argued of using her market money to have purchased. None of these items belongs to him. He had nothing when we got married. He was in debt when we got married and it was my money that helped him pay for his debt.
He has been treating me like a rag because I didn’t attend school, but it has been my money that has been taking care of him since our 2009. I even used my money to buy everything here and I am taking them all, Alice said in frustration when she was accused of thievery.
Alice and Alexander got married in 2009, but because of alleged marital affairs, the two are going their separate ways. The house they live in, according to Alice was built with her money but the land documents and everything are in the name of the husband, Alexander Ahenkorah.
Alice and her sister Felicia are still at the police station. Both women have been charged with two crimes; attempted murder and thievery.
