A campaign team member of Movement for Change (M4C), Yaw Buaben Asamoa, has appealed to Ghanaian voters to give Alan Kyerematen a chance to become the next president of Ghana.
The private legal practitioner says the former Trade and Industry Minister is qualified, competent, and not corrupt.
Mr. Asamoa indicated that it was time for Ghanaians to give an independent candidate the opportunity to govern, as they have tried the two major political parties without seeing significant growth.
He lamented, “Despite the trust and confidence we had in the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party, they have both presented incompetent people to lead.”
The lawyer noted, “Every time these two political parties manage the country, they mismanage the economy, lead us to the International Monetary Fund, and cause an energy crisis, known as ‘dumsor’.”
He assured Ghanaians, both at home and abroad, that “Alan will demonstrate leadership and will not run a corrupt government filled with family, friends, or cronies.”
Buaben Asamoa further indicated that Alan will tackle corruption to prevent misuse of state funds and hold accountable any officials involved.
Under an Alan presidency, Buaben Asamoa said the leader will establish a unity government to promote national development.
He also promised that the Alan administration will have no more than 40 ministers if elected president.
He made these statements during an interview on Rainbow Radio 92.4 FM in the UK.
To Ghanaians in the UK, he urged them not to lose hope in the country but to remain hopeful that things can improve under a new Alan administration.
He encouraged them to spread the message of M4C and persuade their friends and family to vote for Alan Kyerematen.
