The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that promotion letters for teachers who successfully passed the recent promotion examination will begin reaching the Regional Education Directorates from August 15, 2026.
In a statement issued on Monday, July 28, 2026, the GES said management is currently finalising the preparation of the promotion letters to ensure they are ready for distribution.
According to the Service, the letters will be forwarded to the Regional Education Directorates for onward distribution to all qualified teachers.
The GES further disclosed that successful teachers will be placed on their appropriate salary scales by August 31, 2026, marking the completion of the promotion process.
Management expressed appreciation to teachers and staff for their patience and cooperation, assuring them that efforts are being made to complete the process as scheduled.
