GBC to petition NMC over doctored content

GBC to petition NMC over doctored content
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

When the British High Commission opened the book of condolence in honour of Queen Elizabeth II in Accra on Monday September 12, 2022, President Akufo- Addo was the first personality to sign in Ghana.

The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, GBC, carried it on its various platforms including the Breakfast Show and in the NEWS.

However, some persons looking for mischief have picked the video and doctored it with a different caption.

GBC disassociates itself from the FAKE video circulating on social media and is stating categorically that is it FAKE.

The GBC is a professional Organisation and among other things will never refer to the British High Commission, as the UK Embassy, as was captioned on the FAKE Video circulated.

The GBC is pursuing this matter and will lodge a formal complaint with the National Media Commission, NMC, for appropriate action.
