As Ghana heads to the December 7 general election, the Ga-Dangme Movement of Ashaiman has held a press conference, appealing to Ghanaians for peace before, during and after the elections.

Speaking with Ohene Kinnah on Plan B FM’s ‘Ebaanosen’ on Tuesday, 3rd December 2024, the chairman of Ashaiman Ga-Dangme Movement, Mr. Ebenezer T. Amanor urged Ghanaians to remember that we have only one Ghana and that whatever impact this election brings would have a toll on the nation.

He said we should not have an election that will come with violence.

“Ashaiman is a community where almost all the tribes in the country can be found, I wish to enjoin everybody in Ashaiman to vote for peace in our mind before thumb printing the ballot papers on the December 7 ” he said.

He also appealed to any Presidential Candidate who will win the election to appoint a Ga-Dangme citizen as a Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ashaiman.
