Fuel tanker Crashes With Sprinter Driver Carrying Footballers at Tuba Junction Leaving Them Injured

Some Passengers Reportedly Burnt In Deadly Accident On Cape Coast-Takoradi Highway

A serious road accident occurred at Tuba Junction on the Accra-Kasoa Highway, involving a Sprinter bus and a fuel tanker today, March 30, 2025.

The Sprinter bus, carrying a group of footballers and bearing registration number GW-7110-22, collided with a fuel tanker truck with registration number GN-9568-12.

The accident happened when the Sprinter driver attempted a U-turn and crashed into the oncoming tanker.

The impact left multiple passengers injured.

Emergency responders from the Weija Fire Service arrived quickly to transport victims to the Amamfrom Polyclinic and the Akaway Hospital for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, some residents risked their safety by rushing to the scene with containers to collect fuel spilled during the crash.
