Four people have died and one other person has been injured in a fatal road crash involving a Toyota Voxy and a MAN Diesel trailer at Anyinasin Junction on the Accra-Kumasi Highway.
The crash occurred on Monday, September 28, 2026.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said the Bunso Fire Station received a distress call at 5:21am and arrived at the scene at 5:35am with a seven-member crew.
Firefighters worked to extricate victims trapped in the vehicles, secured the accident scene and assisted with traffic management to ensure the free flow of vehicles.
The Toyota Voxy, with registration number GR 9430-26, was completely damaged in the crash, while the MAN Diesel trailer, registered GS 4064-26, sustained damage to its front compartment.
According to the GNFS, one male victim was rescued and transported to the Kibi Government Hospital for medical attention.
The four deceased comprised three males and one female.
The cause of the crash is yet to be established and remains under investigation.
The scene has since been handed over to the Ghana Police Service for further investigations.
