FC Samartex 1996 has announced the temporary suspension of its Assistant Coach and Youth Team Coach, Eric Bekoe, pending disciplinary proceedings.

In an official statement dated February 3, 2026, the club’s management said the decision follows allegations of insubordination and a breach of the ethical standards governing members of the club’s technical team.

According to the statement, Bekoe has been referred to the club’s disciplinary committee, where he is expected to face a formal hearing to address the allegations levelled against him.

Management assured stakeholders and the general public that due process will be followed, adding that updates will be provided once the disciplinary proceedings are concluded.

FC Samartex 1996 has not disclosed further details regarding the incident but reiterated its commitment to upholding discipline, professionalism, and ethical conduct within the club.
