Reverend Benjamin Boateng has stated that manipulation and deception are key characteristics of evil people, stressing that anyone who deliberately misleads others for personal gain exhibits evil tendencies.
Speaking on Nyansapo Fie on Plan B FM, hosted by Ohene Kennah, Rev. Boateng explained that evil can manifest in both men and women. According to him, some people may naturally possess such tendencies, while others develop them through negative influences from friends, family members, or their environment.
He noted that individuals who do not wish to see others succeed, particularly their friends and loved ones, demonstrate signs of evil. He added that habitual lying, cursing others, and intentionally causing harm are also traits associated with evil behaviour.
Rev. Boateng further observed that some partners become uncomfortable when their spouses achieve greater success than they do. Such individuals, he said, may resort to various tactics to hinder their partner’s progress in an attempt to maintain control within the relationship.
He also identified hatred, jealousy, and a desire for revenge as attitudes that can drive people toward evil actions.
Touching on marriage, Rev. Boateng argued that keeping important secrets from one’s spouse amounts to deception and undermines trust within the relationship.
He further cautioned parents to be mindful of their words and actions, noting that children often learn and imitate negative behaviours more readily than positive ones.
The Reverend Minister urged individuals to cultivate honesty, goodwill, and genuine support for others in order to foster healthier relationships and stronger communities.
