Creative Arts Sector To Receive GH¢ 50m Support – Ken Ofori-Atta

In the 2020 mid-year budget review, the creative art sector was not left out. This was disclosed by the Minister of Finance, Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta who said the sector was going to receive financial support from the government for the next six months. 

During the presentation of the Mid-Year Budget Review in  Parliament on Thursday, July 23, 2020, the minister declared that the GH¢ 50m will be drawn from the Coronavirus Alleviation Program (CAP) Business Support Scheme also known as CapBuss Fund.

The finance minister also revealed that, government is going to “increase the CapBuss Program by GH¢150 million, facilitating credit of GH¢50 million to support the Creative Arts, the Media and the Conference of Independent Universities.”
