The Ghana Football Association is set to begin the testing of players, coaching staff and officials of the 18 Premier League clubs today, October 22, 2020.
This is part of preparations towards the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL) football season expected to commence on November 13, 2020. The first club in line to undergo the tests is Dawu-based Dreams FC.
The testing of players and officials, is a joint operation between the Ghana Football Association and government’s COVID-19 task force as part of efforts being made to ensure that football resumes in the safest possible way.
All registered players of the clubs, coaching staff and officials will undergo tests for the purposes of integrity, fairness and transparency in the competition.
The FA is working to ensure COVID-19 protocols are adhered to for a successful 2020/21 GPL season.
