A Communications team member of Movement For Change, Mr. John Kofi Adusei-Poku has urged the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs. Jean Mensa and her colleagues to consider concerns raised at IPAC meeting by all political parties and stakeholders.

In a panel discussion on Plan B Fm’s ‘Nkosuonsem’ show hosted by Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi on Thursday, 1st August 2024, Mr. Adusei-Poku stated that there are concerns raised by political parties and individuals which the Electoral Commission must put into consideration.

“The Seventh Day Adventist Church raised concerned about the 2024 general elections which will take place on December 7 and it falls on Saturday. They were pleading and proposing to the EC to either add the to the Special Voting or the election itself to be shifted from that Saturday because they also want to exercise their rights in the voting.

This came after the Minister of National Security, Hon. Albert Kan Dapaah in his address at the Ghana Catholic Bishops Conference held under the theme ‘SPI National forum social cohesion, security and peaceful elections’ in Accra, Hon. Kan Dapaah warned of a looming threat of electoral violence as the country prepares for general elections.
