Brigadier General Maxwell Obuba Mantey has been appointed Director General of NACOC. Recently promoted, he brings strong leadership to Ghana’s fight against drug trafficking and abuse.

Brigadier General Maxwell Obuba Mantey has been appointed as the new Director General of the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC). His appointment takes effect immediately.

The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) is the state agency responsible for regulating and preventing the trafficking and abuse of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in Ghana. NACOC also works closely with international partners to combat transnational drug trafficking and implements public education and rehabilitation programs.

In a significant career milestone, Brigadier General Mantey, who previously served as the Chief Coordinator of the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC), was recently promoted to the rank of Brigadier General.

Following his promotion, he was appointed Deputy Commandant of the Support Services Comm and, a role that recognizes his exceptional service and leadership in the Ghana Armed Forces.

Brigadier General Mantey is expected to bring his vast experience and discipline to strengthen NACOC’s mission in combating drug-related crimes and promoting public safety.
