Kwabena Boateng, the assemblyman of Dunkwa Kyekyewere in the Central Region, who also works as a cocoa buyer, has reportedly shot and killed two boys.

The deceased individuals were 16 and 20 years old.

According to EDHUB, the Assemblyman explained that he has been vigilant ever since 35 bags of cocoa were stolen from his shop by unknown thieves.

He further stated that around 2 am on Wednesday, while guarding his shop, he noticed three individuals breaking in. They tried to flee upon noticing his presence.

That was when he fired gunshots, which hit two of them while the third managed to escape.

Unfortunately, one of the thieves passed away on the spot while the other died on the way to the hospital.

The assemblyman has allegedly been arrested and is currently assisting in the investigations.
