Robbers Invade Mission House On New Year’s Eve; Steal GHC13k
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A daring robbery attempt at Rahama Forex Bureau in Lapaz took an unexpected turn when the armed robbers were locked inside the building by quick-thinking witnesses.

The Ghana Police Service swiftly surrounded the premises, anticipating an easy capture. However, as per an eyewitness and details gathered by us at OccupyGh, the robbers escaped through a backdoor before the police could act.

Videos of the police arriving at the scene and surveying the premises have since gone viral, drawing mixed reactions from netizens.

Some commended the effort to lock the criminals in, while others criticized the delay in apprehending them. “This is why backdoor security matters,” one comment read.

Authorities have launched an investigation to track down the suspects and determine the lapses in security.

For now, the robbers remain at large, with public concern growing over safety at forex bureaus in the area.
