The Amedzofe Canopy Walkway, a popular tourist attraction in the Ho West District of the Volta Region, has been temporarily closed following an incident involving one of the small exit pillars on December 5, 2025.

The management of the facility has decided to close the walkway as a precautionary measure until a full structural assessment can be carried out. A team of local and international engineers has been assembled to assess the walkway’s safety and guide the next steps.

The closure will remain in effect until all safety requirements have been met and the walkway is deemed fully secure for public use.

The management team apologizes for the inconvenience caused by the closure and appreciates the understanding of visitors and partners.

The safety of patrons remains the top priority, and every effort is being made to ensure the walkway is restored to its usual standards. The Amedzofe Canopy Walkway is a cherished destination, and management is committed to ensuring it remains a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

The public is advised to stay tuned for updates on the reopening of the Amedzofe Canopy Walkway. Management appreciates the patience and cooperation of the public, especially tourists, during this period.
