Former Chairman of Parliament’s Mines and Energy Committee, Amadu Sorogho, says he will take steps to defend his reputation against allegations linking him to bribery in connection with the AKSA power deal.
Mr. Sorogho has rejected the allegations and maintained that he has nothing to do with any acts of bribery surrounding the controversial power agreement.
He said he is prepared to confront the claims and take the necessary steps to clear his name, stressing that his reputation is important to him.
The former committee chairman’s comments come amid renewed scrutiny of the AKSA power deal and allegations of corruption surrounding the agreement.
Mr. Sorogho has therefore indicated that he will not allow the allegations to damage his reputation and will use the appropriate avenues to respond to the claims.
