A Mitsubishi pickup with registration number GC-9415-22 in the fleet of cars following Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, a Presidential Aspirant of the governing New Patriotic Party has reportedly hit and killed a woman Wednesday morning (February 22, 2023) in the Tamale metropolis.

THE CUSTODIAN has gathered that the deceased was with her husband who has also sustained severe injuries and currently receiving medical attention at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.

The former Trade and Industry Minister started a tour of the Northern Region on Tuesday as part of his nationwide tour to canvass support to lead the NPP in 2024.

According to an eyewitness, the incident happened at the Agric traffic lights area in the Tamale metropolis.

“We just witnessed an accident this morning around the Agric traffic lights, a very terrible accident which was caused by Alan Kyerematen’s convoy and a lady with her husband. I think they were going to their work place” the eyewitness stated.

THE CUSTODIAN understands the driver of the vehicle was on top speedy running into the couple who were on their motorcycle.

According to the eyewitness, the driver appeared to be late and was therefore rushing to join the other cars in the convoy which were far ahead of it.

“But unfortunately he knocked down the woman and her husband who were on the motorbike; the traffic was on green and they were going on their way and this reckless driver ran into them” the eyewitness disclosed.

Meanwhile, Alan Kyerematen paid a courtesy call on the King and Overlord of Dagbon, Ya Naa Abukari II, at the Gbewa Palace in Yendi on Tuesday.
