Rev. Benjamin Boateng has underscored the long-term impact of abuse on individuals, stressing that its effects go far beyond the immediate harm experienced.

Speaking on Nyansapo fie show on Plan B 104.5 FM, he explained that abuse particularly physical abuse often leaves visible injuries such as wounds and scars that may take a long time to heal, however, he emphasized that the deeper damage is not always physical.

According to Rev. Boateng, victims of abuse frequently suffer emotional and psychological effects that can persist long after the physical injuries have healed. He noted that such experiences can lead to mental health disorders, negatively affect a person’s self-perception, and make it difficult for victims to trust others.

He further highlighted that the consequences of abuse can shape how individuals relate to people in their daily lives, impacting relationships, workplaces, and overall well-being.

Rev. Boateng called for increased awareness and support for victims, urging society to take the issue of abuse seriously and work towards creating safer and more supportive environments for all.
