Communications Director of the Juvenile Club Owners Association of Ghana (JUCOAG) Justice Nkansah Asare ‘Basti’ has heaped praises on the leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for reducing the amount of fees for Juvenile club registration.
Juvenile Club Owners will therefore heave a sigh of relief from spending so much on club registration fees as the new football season approaches.
This re-directive by the FA is a move many believe will help ignite the excitement and passion of the juvenile football game and will also help club administrators with regards to wealth creation.
In an interview with Tema based radio station Plan B FM on the Ka Wadwen Sports Show, Mr. Justice Asare said Division two clubs were paying ten-thousand Ghana cedis (₵10,000) per club for their registration but following the new directive, the will now have to pay Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵5,000) signifying a 50% drop.
On the part of the Juvenile Clubs, there has been a massive 80% drop. They used to pay Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵5,000) but will be a thing of the past as they will now be paying as less as One Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵1,000)
“I would like to commend the leadership of the FA for listening to our plea, we welcome this decision with open arms” he said
“This shows that this current administration is a listening one, and this will help in the development of juvenile football and Ghana football as well”, he added.
“We thank them for such a wonderful gesture”, he concluded.
In all, close to about 900 Juvenile clubs all over the country are set to benefit from the directive as implemented by the FA.
