The Chief Executive Officer of Kick Nation Sports Agency, Wunnam Haruna, has announced that the top scorer of the Plan B FM GrassRoot Cup 2026 will receive an opportunity to showcase his talent in the United Kingdom.
Speaking at the official launch of the tournament in Tema, Mr. Haruna revealed that the leading goal scorer will be invited to join the Kick Nation Select Team, which is scheduled to travel to the UK in November for a football tour.
According to him, the selected player will participate in a tournament involving several football academies in the United Kingdom, while also featuring in a series of showcase matches aimed at exposing talented young footballers to international opportunities.
Mr. Haruna said the initiative forms part of Kick Nation Sports Agency’s commitment to identifying and nurturing emerging football talent from the grassroots, adding that the partnership with Plan B FM will create a pathway for promising players to pursue professional football careers.
He encouraged participants to make the most of the tournament by giving their best performances, stressing that every match presents an opportunity to attract the attention of scouts and advance their football ambitions.
The Plan B FM GrassRoot Cup 2026, formerly known as the Plan B FM Inter-Community Soccer Gala, will be held from August 22 to September 13 at the Mexico Astro Turf in Tema Community 2, featuring 32 teams competing for honours under the theme, “Today’s GrassRoot, Tomorrow’s Global Champion.”
