A fire outbreak has destroyed 11 rooms in a 23-room compound house at Anlo Town, near the Old Slaughter House, in the New Juaben North Municipality.
In a Facebook post on Friday, November 6, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said personnel from the New Juaben North Municipal Fire Station responded to the incident with a 10-member crew.
The firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control before completely extinguishing it, preventing it from spreading to adjoining properties.
However, several personal belongings, two electric motorbikes and a bicycle were destroyed in the fire.
The post added that access to the affected building has been restricted due to concerns about its structural integrity.
Senior officers of the Fire and Police Services also visited the scene, while preliminary investigations are underway to establish the cause of the fire.
