A 35-year-old mobile money (MoMo) agent, Christian Nana Amponsah, popularly known as Chapter 1, has been found dead with multiple stab wounds at a guest house in Kasoa.
Reports indicate that Amponsah, who was reportedly married, left his shop on Saturday in the company of a woman suspected to be a sex worker before heading to the guest house.
According to reports, his landlord raised the alarm after he realised that the deceased had not been seen for some time and attempts to reach him had proved unsuccessful.
The matter was subsequently reported to the Akweley Police Station, prompting a search for the missing MoMo agent.
He was later reportedly found dead in a nearby hotel, lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds.
Preliminary suspicions have reportedly centred on the woman who was last seen with him. However, she is said to be currently at large, and her alleged involvement has not been established.
Police have commenced investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding Amponsah’s death and identify anyone who may have been involved.
The incident has left residents in the area shocked, as questions remain about the circumstances leading to his death.
