The support and guidance children receive after losing a parent can shape their future, and maintaining faith in God can help them navigate the challenges that follow, Rev. Maxwell Buddie has advised.
He gave the advice while discussing the role of God’s will in the early death of a parent on Nyansapo Fie, Plan B FM’s family, relationship and lifestyle programme, hosted by Akosua Gyamfua.
Rev. Maxwell explained that much depends on the people who step in to care for children after the death of their parents. He noted that such individuals play an important role in providing the guidance, support and parental care the children need as they grow.
He further suggested that some people may experience positive changes in their lives following the early loss of a parent, including improvements in their marriages, depending on the circumstances they might otherwise have faced. He encouraged people to remain hopeful even when they struggle to understand why such painful experiences occur.
Rev. Maxwell urged people who have lost their parents to place their hope in God, stressing that whether a parent dies early or later in life, faith can provide comfort and strength as individuals navigate the uncertainties of life.
