Hearts of Oak recorded a narrow 1-0 victory over Port City FC in their Ghana Premier League Matchday Six encounter at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon on Sunday, October 11, 2026.
Frank Duku scored the decisive goal to hand the Phobians all three points in a closely contested fixture, as they continued their campaign with a second league victory of the season.
Port City FC attempted to find an equaliser but were unable to break through the Hearts of Oak defence, which held firm despite growing pressure in the closing stages.
Hearts made second-half substitutions, introducing Prince Amevor and Rockson Kyeremeh as they sought to maintain their advantage.
However, the closing moments proved tense for the home side, with Kyeremeh receiving a second yellow card in the 90th minute plus three to be sent off, leaving Hearts to see out the remainder of the match with 10 men.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, the Phobians held on to secure the win and claim a valuable three points.
Defender Kelvin Osei Asibey was named NASCO Man of the Match for his impressive performance at the back, helping Hearts preserve their clean sheet.
The victory takes Hearts of Oak to 11 points from six matches, leaving them three points behind league leaders Medeama SC, who defeated Heart of Lions 3-1 at home.
Port City FC, meanwhile, remain on 10 points from six games, just one point behind the Phobians despite their defeat in Legon.
