A fire outbreak has been reported at Amasaman, behind the China Mall, with personnel from four Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) stations dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters from the Amasaman, GNFS Headquarters, Madina and Abelemkpe stations are currently working to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.

The incident comes just days after a fire gutted the Duraplast factory in the North Industrial Area, destroying property and reportedly leaving several workers without jobs.

The cause of the latest fire, the extent of damage and whether there are any casualties remain unknown at the time of reporting.

Emergency responders are assessing the situation as efforts continue to bring the fire under control.
