Assembly Member Hon. Charles Amos has urged residents of the Padmore Electoral Area to actively participate in a massive clean-up exercise aimed at improving sanitation and promoting a healthier environment in the community.
Speaking on Plan B FM’s Nkosuo Nsem with Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi, Hon. Charles Amos stressed the importance of maintaining clean surroundings, citing the popular biblical phrase, “Cleanliness is next to Godliness.”
He noted that poor sanitation can create breeding grounds for mosquitoes and other disease-causing organisms, increasing residents’ risk of malaria and other illnesses.
Hon. Charles Amos therefore called on residents to take sanitation seriously and make it a priority to keep their homes and surroundings clean.
According to him, the exercise will cover Site 15, Site 14, Site 16, Meridian Enclave and Site Zero, with residents in these areas expected to participate actively.
He emphasised that maintaining a clean environment is a shared responsibility and urged residents to come together to support the initiative.
The clean-up exercise is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Hon. Charles Amos said the exercise is expected to help reduce mosquito breeding and other sanitation-related health risks while creating a cleaner and healthier environment for residents.
He consequently appealed to everyone within the affected communities to participate fully and contribute to making the Padmore Electoral Area a cleaner and healthier place to live.
