Michael Teye has expressed support for the full implementation of the TraffiTech-GH automated traffic enforcement system, describing it as a measure that could strengthen road discipline and save lives.
Speaking on Plan B FM’s EBAANOSEN, hosted by Ohene Kinnah, Mr Teye argued that the system should be implemented regardless of whether the country is fully prepared for its introduction.
According to him, the initiative would not only generate revenue for the country but also promote discipline among motorists and help reduce road crashes.
He further proposed a collaboration between the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) to ensure the effective implementation of the system.
Mr Teye maintained that involving both institutions in the enforcement process would be more beneficial than leaving the responsibility solely to the MTTD.
