The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Dr Dramani Bukari Ecomog, has reportedly died in London after a short illness.

The news of his death emerged on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, with a source at the NPA confirming the development to the media.

Dr Bukari was serving as Deputy CEO of the petroleum sector regulator, which oversees Ghana’s downstream petroleum industry. He was also known for his work in energy economics and climate-related issues. (

Reports on the circumstances surrounding his death remain limited, with further details expected from the NPA and his family.
