Management member of Ghana Premier League side Swedru All Blacks, Eddie Blay, has expressed confidence ahead of the 2026/27 season, insisting the club is determined to make its home ground a fortress while targeting a strong start to the campaign.
Reacting to the release of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League fixtures on Plan B FM’s Kawadwen Sports with Dan K Pobi Okocha, Blay said the club’s immediate objective is to maximise points at home and build momentum early in the season.
“We want to win all the points at our home ground,” he stated.
He revealed that the club is targeting 13 points from its opening five matches, stressing that the technical team has carefully mapped out its ambitions for the new campaign.
“We’ve decided to amass points in some of the centres. We want to establish a strong support base in other centres. Our target is to secure 13 points from our first five games.”
Blay said the club has strengthened both its playing squad and management structure with experienced additions as part of efforts to improve on last season’s performance.
“We are working hard to do well this season. We’ve augmented the squad with new players and also brought experienced people onto the management team.”
He also urged supporters to back the team throughout the campaign while promoting peace and discipline at match venues.
“We want to urge our supporters to remain calm and rally behind the team. There should be no violence this season. Let’s support the team to achieve great things.”
As part of the club’s restructuring, former Black Stars defender Habib Mohammed has been appointed to the management team to provide his experience and expertise.
Swedru All Blacks will begin their 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign away to Basake Holy Stars before hosting newly promoted Debibi United in their first home fixture.
The Swedru-based club will be aiming to improve on last season’s 11th-place finish after completing the 2025/26 campaign with 34 league matches.
