The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has released the fixtures for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season, setting the stage for another 34-match campaign involving 18 clubs.
Defending champions Medeama SC will begin the defence of their league title away to Dreams FC on Matchday One, while record champions Asante Kotoko travel to Debibi United for their opening fixture. Accra giants Hearts of Oak will also be on the road to face Berekum Chelsea.
Swedru All Blacks face a difficult task with an away trip to Basake Holy Stars, while Vision FC host Young Apostles. Other opening weekend fixtures see Port City take on FC AshantiGold, Samartex host Karela United, Bechem United welcome Gold Stars, and Heart of Lions entertain Aduana FC.
The opening round also throws up several early headline clashes in the weeks ahead. Matchday Two features Medeama vs Port City and Asante Kotoko vs Heart of Lions, while Week Four sees Medeama host Basake Holy Stars and Asante Kotoko welcome Aduana.
Fans can also look forward to a heavyweight encounter between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak in Week 13, with the reverse fixture scheduled for the second round.
The first round of the season runs from Week 1 to Week 17, with clubs playing each opponent once before the reverse fixtures commence in the second half of the campaign.
The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to begin on the weekend of September 4–7, 2026, and conclude in late May 2027.
