A fuel tanker has caught fire at the Kpone Barrier in the Tema metropolis, triggering a major emergency response from the Ghana National Fire Service.
Six fire tenders have been deployed to the scene from the Free Zones, Tema Industrial Area, BOST, Ashaiman, Tema Regional Headquarters, and Motorway fire stations as firefighters work to contain the raging inferno and prevent it from spreading to nearby properties and vehicles.
The coordinated response is aimed at bringing the fire under control as quickly as possible while ensuring the safety of motorists and residents in the area.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, and there have been no immediate reports of casualties or injuries. Authorities are expected to provide further updates as the situation develops.
Motorists are advised to avoid the Kpone Barrier area and use alternative routes to allow emergency personnel unrestricted access to the scene.
