The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has announced the relocation of the Terminal 3 Car Park at Accra International Airport as part of plans to construct a seven-storey multi-purpose car park and airport hotel complex.

In a public notice issued on Thursday, July 16, 2026, GACL said the existing Terminal 3 Car Park will be closed to both stakeholders and the general public effective Monday, July 20, 2026, to allow construction works to commence.

To minimise inconvenience, the company has completed a new Terminal 3 Car Park Annex, which can accommodate more than 600 vehicles and will serve as the designated parking facility throughout the construction period.

According to GACL, parking attendants will be deployed to assist and direct motorists using the new facility, ensuring smooth access in and out of the airport.

Management appealed to airport users and visitors for their understanding and cooperation during the transition, assuring the public that the temporary arrangements are aimed at maintaining convenient parking while work on the new infrastructure progresses.

The planned development forms part of efforts to enhance parking capacity and improve passenger services at Accra International Airport.
