Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has expressed confidence ahead of Ghana’s FIFA World Cup Round of 32 encounter, declaring that his side is determined to become the next African nation to reach the Round of 16.
Speaking ahead of the crucial knockout fixture, Queiroz said the responsibility rests on his team to keep Africa’s hopes alive following the elimination of several representatives earlier in the tournament.
“The responsibility is on us to ensure Ghana becomes the next African nation to reach the Round of 16,” the Black Stars coach said.
Queiroz also delivered a major fitness boost, confirming that all 25 players in his squad are available for selection.
“Twenty-five players are fully fit and ready to play tomorrow,” he stated.
The Black Stars will face Colombia in a high-stakes Round of 32 clash, with a place in the last 16 at stake as Ghana looks to continue its World Cup journey and fly the flag for Africa.
