Media personality Lady Kess has emphasized that fatherhood extends beyond biological ties, describing a father figure as anyone who possesses the qualities of a father and takes responsibility for guiding, supporting, and nurturing others.
Speaking on Nyansapo Fie on Plan B FM with host Akosua Gyamfua, Lady Kess explained that father figures are not limited to men, noting that some women also perform roles traditionally associated with fathers and can therefore be regarded as father figures.
She stressed the vital role women play in the concept of fatherhood, stating that without women, there would be no fathers. According to her, a father is a gift from God to humanity through a woman.
Lady Kess further noted that father figures can be found in various spheres of life, including schools. She pointed out that teachers who genuinely care about their students, take an interest in their welfare, and provide mentorship and guidance often serve as father figures to many young people.
She concluded by urging society to appreciate and celebrate father figures for their invaluable contributions to personal development, emotional support, and the positive shaping of lives.
