Fault in ECG network leaves Greenshield area in Tema without power

Power Outage Hits Greenshield International School Area in Tema

Residents and institutions within Greenshield International School and surrounding communities in the Tema Region are currently experiencing a power outage following a fault in the electricity distribution network.

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in the Tema Region confirmed the disruption in a public notice issued on Monday, June 22, 2026. According to the utility provider, the outage was caused by a technical fault within its network infrastructure affecting supply to the area.

ECG assured affected customers that engineers have been deployed to locate and rectify the fault, with efforts underway to restore electricity as quickly as possible.

The company expressed regret over the inconvenience caused, urging residents to remain patient while repair works continue.

The affected area includes Greenshield International School and nearby communities.

The Electricity Company of Ghana Electricity Company of Ghana reiterated its commitment to restoring stable power supply and maintaining reliable service across its network.
