NPP demands apology from Kevin Taylor over atacks on John Agyekum Kufuor

NPP demands apology from Kevin Taylor over atacks on John Agyekum Kufuor
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The opposition New Patriotic Party has issued a strongly worded statement condemning media personality Kevin Ekow Taylor over what it describes as sustained attacks on former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

In a press release dated May 8, 2026 and signed by the party’s Director of Communications, Richard Ahiagbah, the NPP accused the governing National Democratic Congress of remaining silent despite Kevin Taylor’s alleged remarks against the former president.

The statement described the attacks as “desecration” rather than politics, insisting that former President Kufuor deserves respect for his role in strengthening Ghana’s democracy and economy.

According to the NPP, the NDC’s silence amounts to complicity due to what it called Kevin Taylor’s “well-documented ties” to the party.

The opposition party is demanding that President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC publicly dissociate themselves from the remarks and that Kevin Taylor issues an “unqualified and public apology” to former President Kufuor.

The statement further warned that Ghanaian society must uphold cultural values and decency in political discourse, adding that the public is “watching and taking note” of the NDC administration’s response.
