Honourable Ablakwa stated this in his address to a Moroccan contingent where he praised the North African nation for setting a high standard in hosting world class sports events on the continent.

Morocco recently hosted the 2025 AFCON and 2024 Women’s AFCON to glowing reviews for the state of the art of technology behind construction of pitches and stadia for the competition and Okudzeto Ablakwa shared that Ghana was aiming to mirror Morocco to improve its sports facilities.

“We are also collaborating when it comes to sports because you know that Morocco has become the hub for sporting activities in Africa. They just successfully hosted the African Games [AFCON].”
