The Embassy of Ghana in Doha has issued an urgent security advisory to all Ghanaians living in Qatar, urging them to take immediate shelter following reports of a missile attack and rising tensions in the region.

In an official release dated February 28, 2026, the Embassy advised Ghanaian nationals in Doha to remain indoors until further notice and to rely only on information from official sources.

The notice cautioned residents to stay away from military sites, avoid crowded areas, and minimize exposure to potential danger. It also encouraged individuals to keep essential supplies, including medication and food, readily available.

The Embassy provided emergency contact lines for assistance and urged affected persons to reach out if necessary. Ghanaian nationals can contact the Embassy via the emergency hotlines +974 44 36 44 86 or +974 70 13 62 81, or by email at doha@mfa.gov.gh. The Embassy is located at Zone 66, Street 576, Building 7, Al-Dafina, Doha.

The advisory comes amid heightened regional tensions, prompting diplomatic missions to prioritize the safety of their citizens.

The Embassy has assured the Ghanaian community in Qatar that it will continue to monitor developments closely and provide updates as the situation evolves.
