Pure mind and clean heart are the hallmarks of charity – Prophet Alex Nana Nhyira advises

Pure mind and clean heart are the hallmarks of charity – Prophet Alex Nana Nhyira advises
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The General Overseer of Yawerh Worship Center in Tema, Prophet Alex Nana Nhyira, has encouraged the general public to engage in acts of charity regardless of the challenges they face in life.

According to him, there are blessings in giving, especially for Christians, stressing that giving should come from a sincere heart. He explained that charity loses its value when it is done merely for public attention.

Speaking on Plan B FM’s Drive Time Show, Prophet Nana Nhyira noted that some people engage in charitable acts and later rush to social media to publicise them, an act he believes does not attract blessings if the intention is to show off.

He said, “Some people give to others and when issues arise between them, they turn around and broadcast it to the public. Such acts carry no blessing.” However, he added that sharing pictures or videos of charitable activities on social media can sometimes inspire others to also show kindness.

When asked whether he had ever faced challenges after engaging in charity, the prophet shared his personal ordeal, recounting how he prayed for a woman who was healed by the grace of God and later blessed with a child, but now goes about speaking negatively about him.

In conclusion, Prophet Nana Nhyira emphasised that kindness should be genuine and rooted in a pure heart.
