Prophecy does not influence elections – Prophet

Election 2024: The voice of the people is the voice of God; let Ghanaians decide- Captain Jesus urges EC

The President of the Law Students Network, Kwaku Gyasi, has cautioned against what he described as a dangerous convergence of prophetic pronouncements, unsubstantiated allegations, and inflammatory political rhetoric, which could be used to justify claims of rigging and potentially spark unrest after the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) January 31 presidential primaries.

His warning comes amid growing concerns over developments surrounding the party’s flagbearership contest, as prophecies, opinion polls, and increasingly combative campaign statements have dominated public discourse in recent weeks.

Reacting to the situation, the Leader and Founder of Captain Jesus Prayer House, Prophet Isaac Ofosuhene Gyimah, stated on Plan B FM’s Ebanosen programme that it is high time Ghanaian pastors respected God. He questioned why, after the death of Jesus Christ and Judas, the Church still elected leaders, asking, “Where was the Holy Spirit and God?”

He explained that this was because God respects human decisions and grants people the freedom to choose their leaders.

He further stated that while it is true that God reveals things to individuals, deciding whether such revelations should be made public is a different matter altogether.

Prophet Isaac Ofosuhene Gyimah concluded by saying that “the voice of the people is the voice of God.”
