Black Galaxies have arrived in South Africa ahead of their international friendly against Bafana Bafana, as preparations continue for upcoming competitive fixtures.

The team touched down on the morning of December 14 via Ethiopian Airlines and will now settle in ahead of Tuesday’s encounter, scheduled for December 16, 2025, at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto. Kick-off for the match is set for 2:00 pm Ghana time.

The friendly forms part of the Black Galaxies’ build-up to the next phase of the CHAN qualifiers, with head coach Kassim Mingle Ocansey using the match to assess his squad and fine-tune tactical approaches. The team has undergone intensive training in recent weeks, and the coaching staff will be keen to see how the players respond against strong opposition away from home. South Africa will also use the fixture as part of their preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The Black Galaxies are expected to hold training sessions in Soweto ahead of the match as they aim to make a positive impression and build momentum for the challenges ahead.
