Support the OSP to deliver Justice – Tamakloe Urges

“United Party Name Belongs To NPP Tradition” — James Tamakloe Defends Party Heritage
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Tamakloe, an NPP communication member for the Tema West constituency, has called on Ghanaians to give full support to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), stressing that the institution is not established to serve the interests of any political party.

Speaking on Nkosuo Nsem, he stated that the OSP exists solely to protect the public purse and ensure accountability, irrespective of one’s political affiliation. According to him, anyone appointed to lead the office must work diligently for the good of Ghana.

Tamakloe questioned the motive behind attempts to remove the current Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, noting that he has already filed 78 charges against former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta. He argued that such bold actions reflect the OSP’s commitment to fighting corruption and must be encouraged, not hindered.

He emphasized the need for the state to provide the OSP with all necessary resources to function effectively. “Let’s support the OSP and give him everything he needs to work,” he said.

Tamakloe further rated Kissi Agyebeng 5 out of 10, acknowledging that while there is room for improvement, the Special Prosecutor has demonstrated notable effort in carrying out his mandate.
