“Warning signs in pregnancy: Tema Urban Hospital midwives urge caution”

“Warning signs in pregnancy: Tema Urban Hospital midwives urge caution”

Midwives at Tema Urban Hospital have issued a urgent warning to pregnant women to be aware of danger signs that require immediate medical attention. Bleeding, intense stomach ache, severe vomiting, and premature water breakage are among the warning signs that should not be taken lightly.

Other critical indicators include severe headaches, dizziness, foul-smelling vaginal discharge, and swollen feet. The midwives emphasize that antenatal care is essential for detecting potential complications early, and urge all pregnant women to prioritize regular check-ups.

“Antenatal is not a luxury, it’s a requirement,” the midwives stressed, encouraging expectant mothers to seek medical help promptly if they experience any of these danger signs.
