“Don’t sack Kissi Agyabeng yet, test him with real cases – NDC Communicator”

“Extend Period Of Investigations To Cover 2009 – 2015” – OSP Petitioned Over Auction Of Cars |

Selorm Avedetsi, a communication member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ningo Prampram constituency, has said that the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyabeng, should not be sacked but rather given specific cases and a six-month period to deliver results.

According to him, if after the six months the Special Prosecutor is unable to prosecute anyone successfully, then his dismissal can be justified.

Mr. Avedetsi also reacted to Kissi Agyabeng’s recent statement that “forces” surrounding the former Finance Minister hindered his work, saying the OSP had other options to prevent the minister from leaving the country.

“He should have collaborated with the (ORAL) since it was in effect at the time, to stop him,” he stated.

Selorm Avedetsi further rated the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s performance 3 out of 10, describing it as unsatisfactory considering the resources and mandate the office holds.
