“Gamblers Often Adopt High-risk, High-Reward’ Mentality” – Rev Manful

Rev. Sam Manful Warns: “Meds Can Impact Kids’ Growth – Pray and Research Before Giving!”

Reverend Sam Manful, Head Pastor of Global Ark of Grace Chapel, notes that gamblers typically have a “high-risk, high-reward” mentality, which contributes to addiction and increased rates.

Speaking on Plan B FM’s Nyansapɔ Fie programme, hosted by Nana Asabea, Rev. Manful attributed this trend to people’s tendency to idolise material possessions without considering their source.

He warned that addicted gamblers may resort to robbery to fund their habits and cautioned that “gambling only leads addicted gamblers to a non-thrilling end.”

Mary Bright Abelenma Coffie, an Alternative Dispute Resolution expert, highlights the growing involvement of young people in gambling, likening it to a casino for older people that needs scrutiny.

She blames glamourising adverts for enticing vulnerable individuals, including young people and some adults.

Abelenma Coffie also notes that some gamblers seek spiritual guidance, such as tarot readings and star readings, to win, adding that the perceived instant wealth can be deceptive.
